The officer in command, Surya Kumar Singh (Rajkummar Rao), angrily refuses to allow anyone pass. As a result, Madam Ji (Dia Mirza), who comes from a wealthy background, is forced to labor alongside the labourers. A medical student named Renu Sharma (Bhumi Pednekar) builds a medical camp close to the border to offer minimal assistance to COVID-19 patients. Each character experiences hardship to varied degrees, but they are all caught up in this unfortunate circumstance and look to their faith for relief.

Strong Performances: By taking their cues from actual events, the characters’ struggles make the viewer empathize with them. Balram Trivedi, who is unrelenting, is portrayed superbly by Pankaj Kapur. With his real and outstanding portrayal as an officer battling caste prejudice while battling inner agony originating from his roots, Rajkummar Rao once again dazzles. As Renu, Balram’s love interest from a different caste, Bhumi Pednekar shines, demonstrating that love knows no bounds. As a distressed mother who is unable to reunite with her daughter, Dia Mirza gives a powerful performance. She struggles with the idea that people from rich homes would be more susceptible to the pandemic. As the sympathetic journalist Vidhi Prabhakar, Kritika Kamra shines as the powerful voice of the populace. Ashutosh Rana, unfortunately, has a lot of potential as a senior police officer.
